So I walk into the Gator Cutlery Club knife show today at 1:30. Not bad. I have till 5 to paruse the selection. BTW. I have never seen so many Randalls in my life but he is from Orlando so.... . Anyway I walk over to our old friend who sold me my Millie and started talking and found out they were closing down at 3 and it was the last day. Ok so just under an hour and a half to walk out a winner. What do you know, I was in the right place. So how about the rare Spyderco rescue with the Emerson opener. Nah. Or a pink ffg delica. Nope. Wait whats that. Oh thats a nice one. Just got it in. Here take a look. Needless to say the rest is pretty much history.

The seller knew me from before so I walked away with it for $80 flat. Same guy sold me my Millie for $110.

I think it's awesome when people find pieces of history that will appreciate them. Nice find and thanks for sharing with us!

I just did a gun and knife show in deland florida. A bunch of people where asking for Spyderco knifes and I told them about this site and this was the place to go for there knifes that they where looking for. They asked me why am I sending them to somewhere else to buy and I told them that I really belive in the sellers that are here on this site and I think they will probbley get a good deal here.

I believe it's the Calypso Jr. in it's original incarnation. I know that after the fairly unsuccessful Calypso in black micarta, they came out with a Calypso Jr. in Aus-8 and black Micarta. After that it was FRN Calypso Jr's in VG-10, ZDP etc.(maybe AUS-10 at one point, can't remember). Oh yeah between those was SS Aus-8

Edit:it is indeed--C52 is the Calypso jr. M means micarta, B means black, P means plain edge, at least those are my guesses. Nice find!

Knife is definitely what folks refer to as the micarta Calypso Jr. Just not sure if any of the boxes for them were ever marked Calypso Jr. IIRC, all I've ever seen were marked Experimental.

I have a much-loved Caly Jr. in Micarta. I used it quite a bit & it got pretty well scratched up- so I bead-blasted the whole thing. Wrecked any resale value- but it's a super user & sees good pocket time.
Good score on that one.

Wow. Great catch. I've got a few Caly Jr's - and have been looking for a micarta one for a long time. I guess I just gotta get to more knife shows!

Yes, they only have it once a year during this time of the month around the end of Jan, some of them might be at the Florida Fair Ground this March and the then there is the Blade Show in Atlanta in June.
