I just made an impulse buy!

I had posted about a week ago about wanting something just a little smaller than the EB to use for a concealment blade. Mick suggested a DB and Duane said maybe something custom. Well, I hate to wait so I called the shop and talked to Steve, but they had no smaller knives in stock. I was just browsing at triple aught design and saw this: www.tripleaughtdesign.com/mfs.htm

My credit card jumped out of my wallet and my hand clicked on the order button without being told. The only problem is I will still have to wait a week for it to get here and man am I ever going to have to hide the credit card statement and get some extra off duty work. (I just went to a knife show last week end and walked out with 3 knives, now this, I had just got the damn thing paid off too. :') Counting my EBLT and my on order folder I now have 3 Striders plus a Strider Buck. Everything without Strider stamped on the blade may have to go on the for sale forum to feed this habit.

Nicely done. I saw that knife a few days ago and took an immediate liking to it. Kinda neat little design for a first Strider, huh?! Enjoy it. Impulse buys are sometimes worth the trouble. Hehe!

Lewis,

Ummm, that's kinda spooky...I just got an MFS about half an hour ago in the mail!

Man, it's a sweet blade...and the best deal going on a Strider. And, I got an EBS on the way sometime next week, as well. Tis's the season for kickass knives! You guys seriously rock at the Strider shop, not to mention Patrick at Triple Aught Design...oops, what a shameless plug for awesome service.

Take care,
John Johnson

Darn it, I just got an email saying they are sold out but that they should be getting more next week. I hope that's the case. This kind of puts the damper on the whole impulse thing.

Knifebomber, I already have the EBLT so this will be my second Strider. I think it's an addiction. Seriously, most folks should be able to get by with one really good knife, but not us.

Without giving any secrets away, Lewis, what do you think MFS stands for? Look at what I said, then reread the initials!

Knifebomber,
Don't I feel silly, that went right past me. It makes sense though, the size shape and price are just right to draw someone in and then they get hooked. I almost got the WP (I'm guessin maybe it stands for wharncliffe point?) but the MFS just looked like a really usable knife. (Not that others aren't.)

Josh at Triple Aught was visiting today.
He left with a big ol pile of knives.
Give em a call.
Lots of MFS's

Later

Mick
