Hello. I'm very new to the hobby of balisong. I just got my
first knife 2 days ago, but i can't put it down : ). I don't
remember why i decided to search the net for info on butterfly
knives, but when i did, i came across Clay's site. When i saw
what could be done with balisongs i was impressed... I enjoy
lots of different skill toys like yoyos and contact juggling and
stuff (some vids of me yoyoing are on
www.thestringcemetery.com). Anyway, so i thought that balisong
would be a kool skill toy. So last friday i ordered a jaguar
silver half serrated one... I got it a couple days ago and have
been learning like mad. The hardest trick i can do right now is
twirls. Anyway, i made some videos yesterday, and would just
like to know if i'm doing anything wrong.. like with my style or
something. Any comments would be a appreciated... I made 2 vids,
in 2 formats: High Res DIVX and standard res MPG. If you don't
know what divx is, then download the mpg version. And if you
don't have a really good computer, download the mpg ones. Thanks
a lot, and your site kicks ass clay... I like it better than
balisong.com because they do everything so damn fast and don't
explain what they're doing, so you can't learn. Thanks again-

yeah, what he said. I have a fair ammount of trouble flipping with my left hand because I almost always use my right. try to balance it out

Yeah, don't make the mistake that some of us did back in the old days.Work both hands to their fullest. It'll add a lot of dexterity for your use later on.
I'm primarily a right paw,but my left paw can do some of the stuff..but not always well. This is because we concentrated too much on one side and not enough on the other.

It wasn't me...It was my *good* twin..
My "inner puppy" made me do it..

Hey, Hey....... not too bad for a newbie. It looks like you're off to a very good start.

But do yourself a favor and take the other's advice about getting the left hand involved.

The sooner the better.
