I just ordered my first Emerson!

Well... I stopped waffling and placed an order with Botach. I ordered a Commander w/Black T, black handles and a half serrated blade. Essentially, it is the exact opposite of what I had originally stated that I intended to get *L* I can't wait for it to get here! I figured that as it is one of Mr. Emerson's products, I doubt I'd be disappointed either way. Also I'm finally going to get to check out this newfangled bottle-opener!

Well Mr. Hollister, you were absolutely correct. I should have been quicker placing my order through Botach. Right now they are out of stock or all Black T blades (sigh). They put me on back-order and they should have more arriving in about 3 to 4 weeks.

Argh!

I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas to arrive again. I was wondering what most of the USNAVSPECWAR types these days prefer in the Commander type of knife - with or without the serrations. Any insights here?

I also just ordered my first Emerson. I ordered a mini CQC7 B. I can't wait. One problem though. Someone at 1sks told me that the green handle on this model was not an option. Yet, there is one on the Emerson site and on 1sks' site. Anyone know what's going on here?

Yes, I too just bought another Commander. This time a green handle with satin finish blade (no serrations). I wasn't looking to buy another knife, but through Botach I only paid $125.00. I was amazed. It is my understanding that the dealer cost on the commander is $130!!! I simply cannot turn down a great deal!

I called and ordered a Mini CQC7 from Botach. All I could think about was that $125 price for the Commander...whew! Do I NEED another Commander? Of course not but...while placing my order something made my mouth blurt out "and I'll take a Commander too"..(Satin blade/black handle). So, I can't wait for their sale to be over because my fingers will somehow dial that phone again and my mouth may blurt out an order. Is there therapy for this?
