I have had many Busse/kin knives come and go. Most of them met their fate because I came to the conclusion that I'd never use them as they should be because of size or weight or practicality. I swore I'd be buried with my Force One, but when it came down to it... and I really wanted a Weber Grill... I came to the harsh reality that I'd never use a $600 8" tanto knife. I'm a user and abuser of knives. There's no room for pretty Safe Queens.
The one knife I regret letting go of though was my pumpkin SAR-8. It was beautiful. The fit and finish... The lines... the little grooves of its thumb ramp... the satiny smooth shape of its pommel... I vowed I'd get one again some day. Its Busse dog tag hangs on my Weber as a tribute to its sacrifice. If it had one fault I'd never admit out loud, it was that it was a little too long for me to ever really consider it a user. I had to face it. I'd never "go to" it on a regular basis...

Perfect in ever way, size, shape and form. Now I will have that knife I long to get back, in a truly usable size.
Thank you Jerry Busse... And thank you Skunk. I will cherish the cat food, or corn pops, or belly button lint (times are tough) that you throw in upon packaging my grail!!
