I just ordered my grail

I have had many Busse/kin knives come and go. Most of them met their fate because I came to the conclusion that I'd never use them as they should be because of size or weight or practicality. I swore I'd be buried with my Force One, but when it came down to it... and I really wanted a Weber Grill... I came to the harsh reality that I'd never use a $600 8" tanto knife. I'm a user and abuser of knives. There's no room for pretty Safe Queens.

The one knife I regret letting go of though was my pumpkin SAR-8. It was beautiful. The fit and finish... The lines... the little grooves of its thumb ramp... the satiny smooth shape of its pommel... I vowed I'd get one again some day. Its Busse dog tag hangs on my Weber as a tribute to its sacrifice. If it had one fault I'd never admit out loud, it was that it was a little too long for me to ever really consider it a user. I had to face it. I'd never "go to" it on a regular basis... :( CHOPPING BLOCK

Enter: DUN! DUN! DUNNNNN!!! Pumpkin SAR-6 *Angels sing* AAWWW-AW-AAHH-AWWW" :D Perfect in ever way, size, shape and form. Now I will have that knife I long to get back, in a truly usable size.

Thank you Jerry Busse... And thank you Skunk. I will cherish the cat food, or corn pops, or belly button lint (times are tough) that you throw in upon packaging my grail!!

Sounds like a winner Adam it looks like it's got more belly and a longer handle than the BJ too. That combo is pretty sweet also. Congrats on your grail/xmas present.

Thanks! The boss jack was very close to what I was looking for prior to seeing the new SAR6.

Reach higher for a Grail. Grails are rare. Grails aren't seen. Grails are guarded by deadly bunnies.

Go for the SHBA on the 'bay or a BBSHSH or a SHBM or a GP Busse Field Knife. Aim higher. (It keeps the price of our collections up. LOL)

Ah fudge it. Buy what you want. :)

Nah, I hear ya. It is sort of modest in respect to your typical grail. What makes it a grail to me, are the elusive features I've yet to see on any other Busse. Its not rare, but a knife like it could not be found until now. To me, a grail wouldn't be some mystical knife I could only obtain by lofting a holy hand grenade, and then placed on a shelf once in my possession.

It would be a knife that came along and freed me from all other impractical knives purchases. A knife so perfect in design, that it would remove all desire for another knife (until the desire for another knife came along of course :D)

I had a SHSH Varient, and a Ruck, and an F1... but none of them did anything for me.

Your gonna love the SAR 6, had mine for a few days now and it does'nt want me to put it down so i can go to work.

Nice.

I actually chose a new grill over infi for Christmas this season!

I did not have any grill (have not had one since I moved, and chucked my old hibachi grill rather than moving it).

Haha! That I do. I get so many inquiries about the current one though.

Can anyone tell me how long it took to receive either your LE or SE sar6 after ordering it?
So, you need a new avatar pic, then. ;)

or a 1 of 3 BBSHBM. :D

wouldn't a sar-46 beat the crap outa ducci's folder?

.

No.

N-O

We NEED a Folder, a SAR 46 would just be for bragging.

Anyway, nice pick up. ANY pumpkin SAR looks great and I wouldn't mind picking one up.

But that was before I saw the tequila sunrise that kinda matches my 1911 :D
