I just popped the tip of a T6 Husky screw trying to take the pocket clip off of my new BD1N PM2...

Is it a bad torx driver, or are those loctite'd in? I could hardly get it to budge.
It is a torx bit inserted into a "pen" of sorts that I got from Home Depot, Husky brand.
Thanks for any info. This is the first time I have messed with the screws on any Spyderco. I was going to change the clip to tip-up for fun, just because I normally do like my PM2s tip down.

I've had similar experiences when I used my iFixit PC repair kit to take apart knives. Cheap, soft steel.

Pick up a nice set of hardened Torx from Wiha or Wera.

I’ve had cheap bits literally twist into a spiral shape. It happened on a new pm2 pocket clip screw. There is a little locktite on the screw but the soft bit is really the problem. I purchased better made bits.

I put the knife in a padded vise and found that cured the problem of stripping them.

I’m hoping I don’t have the same problem with my BD1N PM2 or my micarta+Cruwear PM2 either..they both came with the pocket clip tip down which I don’t link..I’ll try my luck when I get home
