Anyone pre-order any of the other mid-year releases?

I am pretty pumped about this one.

Hi Dave,

I heard they are on the way in. Still have to go through QC, numbering for collectors and ship premiers, then we ship out.

Wow - That is great news! I understand the numbering for collectors, but what does ship premiers mean?

I'm going to guess that they are top-tier dealers that get their orders shipped first. Just a guess, though.

We have certain customers (dealers and distributors) that have committed to take a certain number of everything we make. We ship them first.

Congrats! I really want one but I'm not a huge fixed blade guy and for how much use it'd see I'm not sure it's worth the money to me but man is it a beautiful blade!

Not sure about everyone else, but I just got a surprise UPS parcel from somewhere in CO.

For comparison, here is the contents next to the G10 BushcraftUK

It cuts REALLY well. Sheath is the same as the Bushcraft. Weight is noticeably lower, but still a solid knife in the hand thanks to the full tang. Balance is a little bit further back as a result of the flat grind, not fully offset by the lighter scales. Still good. Did I mention it cuts really well? The edge angle isn't a full wood working one, but it bites very well. Looking forward to putting it through a lot of paces in the coming months.

I received an email from BladeHQ this morning saying that they had them in stock. I really want one of these, just can't justify the price. I understand that the materials used are top notch, but it is an expensive knife. Maybe it will come down some and I'll pick one up.
