I just purchased my first Khukuri and I want another one

Hello everyone I want to say thank you for all the great information here in this forum. I just purchased a khukuri the M43 and I want another one already is this normal? These things are magical for some reason and I want more of them. It must be the fact that they are hand forged by a skilled craftsman that loves what he does and it seems that energy is transferred to the khukuri. I really like the Super CAK it is calling to me how do I go about getting one? Do you have to be lucky and catch one on a DOTD? Thanks everyone and I love my M43 that I just purchased thank you so much.

I had ordered two more kukri, a sword and a knife before my fiorst one arrived. If it's not normal, you're in the company of a lot of weirdos.

Shark it on a DOTD, or email Yangdu and ask if she has one. If she doesn't, she can order one.
 
Wecome to the dread HIKV virus. Abandon hope. The only option is to purchase more kukri's.

Good choice with the M-43.
 
Yup I think I caught the virus, I will send a message to Yangdu and see if she can work her magic. :)

Congratulations Brian1095. You've gotten your first khukuri and at the same time discovered that you're just like us. A judicial eye on the DOTD will work towards diminishing the wallet lightening that HIKV causes. As far as the effects of your HIKV on family, friends or significant others, you can ask here if you hit a road block but basically you're on your own. WARNING-Beware of any tendencies toward "Researching" and storing you khuks in a cave. Its been known to lead to quacking, waddling and denial.

ha ha yes I can see that happening in the near future, it's unfortunate that everyone I am around doesn't seem to share my interest in these functional works of art. I say that they just don't know what they're missing. It is nice to come here and see so many people who enjoy them also.
 
I was also curious about sharpening. I ordered some Norton sandpaper in 320 800 and 1500 grit I was thinking about sharpening using a mousepad. Can any give me some advise on how to sharpen these large blades or is there a good thread on here for that?

There are several thread links in the library at the top of the main forum concerning sharpening. If anyone finds more good threads on the subject PM or email me with a link and i will add them.
