And what a lovely knife it is! It is just what the doctor ordered for someone who lives or works in an area where the legal imit is a 3" blade. Anthony Cheeseboro had initially recommended it to me, I guess that he had followed my discussions of needing a really good 3" knife tht works with arthritic fingers. I thank him for this, as it is all of that and does it quite well, thank you. I located a spearpoint by asking for one in this forum and Scarab offered to sell me his club member's model, number 027. I took him up on his offer and am quite happy with the result.
The blade is just a hair under 3", perhaps 2 15/16, and the shape is perfect for utility type cutting chores, which is what I intend the knife for. The hilt is quite substantial, just as with the Gunting, but it is not as aggressive in appearance as the Gunting. This makes it easier to use in this post-9/11 world. Yes, I know that I should not worry too much about the hoplophobes, but I work in a federal government office that is chock-a-block full of young men and, especially, women who have been raised in non-weapons environments, and, while they haven't started to enforce knife restrictions as yet, I would rather not be the one who provokes them to that.
