THE BLACK SHADOW DIGITAL PATTERN. WHAT MAKES THIS RECURVE blade DIFFERENT IS THAT BEFORE THE BLADE WAS DIGITIZED THE BLADE HAd STRIDER'S LOGO ENGRAVED EVERY 1/2 TO 3/4 INCH OF AN INCH REPEATEDLY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BLADE THEN THE DIGITIZING IS COATED OVER THE BLADE. IT IS AN AWESOMELY DIFFERENT PATTERN.I called the shop and asked them about this new cosmetic on the blade and was told that I received one of the very first and that it is something that they are going to use this on a couple of models but as yet did not know on which models .I really consider myself lucky to receive this rarity and was curious as to whether anyone else has seen this
new blade design and what they think about it or has anyone else heard anything about this new blade treatment??
My camera will not really show it as the digital pattern really covers the logos unless you are looking closely and angling the blade in the light.
So any input out there?
Buy the way the shop left the thumb stud off so that i could easily install the new T.A.D. tritium thumb stud on the knife, which IMHO is one of the greatest accesories out there, hat's off to T.A.D.!!

try lighting the blade from the side. turn the flash off on the camera and use an external light source like a spotlight from an off angle to highlight the relief in the blade.
