I just received my second Uddha Sword

They are quite nice, ain't they? Thanks for removing the temptation to get a second Uddha meself! :D

As per not being a heavy chopper, not by HI standards at least. Compare an uddha to machetes, bolos, and goloks of the same length, and suddenly the equation changes.

I had a pair of Uddhas myself, for a while. I gave my instructor one that was made by Vim for Christmas last year. It is lighter than the one I kept, a real beauty by Master Bura. Neither of them are by any means featherweights. BUT they both balance and handle sooo well that the weight is well mitigated. Uddha sinawali is something to see. Uddha swords goood :cool:.

Congratulations jnphares, two are better than one! :D

My Uddha is made by Burra Kami and has the Chiruwa grip and weighs in at 32ounces with a 17inch long blade. I must admit I am after an example of the lighter and shorter Uddha which comes in around 25ounces IIRC?

I am hoping for my recently purchased Bhutan Sword to arrive soon so as I can compare it to the Uddha ...waiting is a pain! :(

The Uddha isn't a heavy chopper, but might make an outstanding martial arts sword -- it's light, fast, well-balanced and very pointy.

My first thought seeing the Uddha, was that two of them would make a great pair for Kali work. I can imagine someone pooping themselves seeing an Escrimadore come at them with two Uddhas.
