And that was a good price for a bit of nylon and a zipper designed to hold tuna! What is with our addiction to build these kits? I have spent more than I want to admit on my 10x4 bottle holder, Guyot bottle, GSI Bottle cup, Frontier Filter, shoulder strap, tactical can case, and other bits and pieces so that I have: The ultimate water bottle carrier. I better never become a hippie because I don't think a gourd will fit in this case.
The worst part is: I have a few nice Camelbak's, water bottles, etc. and I still want this kit to be perfect. I can only drink from one hydration system at a time after all. I don't know why, but we've all seen the set and I just wanted to try it out myself. This thing is going to be 10 lbs. by the time I fill it with water. I do use the kit when I camp or hike, but its starting to become a bit heavy as I complete the "holy grail water bottle carrier". I'm hoping the frontier filter is able to fit in the new case (which obviously fits at the bottom of the 10x4 under the GSI Bottle Cup so that the extra 2" of height is taken up and the Guyot fits above the rim of the 10x4 when it's unzipped).
P.S. When I get the tactical can case I might post a pic of the whole set...
