I must be turning into a gadget geek. I just spent $40 tonight for a Cross Morph today. I am finicky about my writing utensils, doing quite a bit of writing by hand. I like to leave a nice signature, also. Does anyone else have this pen and, if so, how do you like it?

I thought it was crazy dropping 20 bucks for my space pen haha

Actually I think I may have done the Omas thing; I think it was more like $600 for the titanium T2 with Ti nib. Got it a while back; usually get pens that are $200 or less. I'm not interested in the Morph (kind of an interesting concept though) because I'm into fountain pens. In case you're wondering yes it does get expensive collecting both fp's and knives.

I'm about to spend $100 on a Fisher Millennium space pen, but at least it's guaranteed to last the rest of my life!

Man,I love pens! Not just pricey ones either but all kinds. I remember once telling co-workers that when I was in a new or strange place I'd usually look in local stationary stores or other places and just look at their pens(and mechanical pencils) to see if there was anything new or unusual. They looked at me like I was a lunatic for saying this but if I had said I look for bars or porno places they would have grinned and given me a hearty slap on the back.Go figure.

I have a morph. It's one great pen! I use mine in class everyday. Very comfortable and a joy to write with!

Tim - amen! I'm the same way. I like all types of pens too, including the cheaper ones. And everytime I set foot in Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, or Wal-Mart, I cannot leave without browsing the pen and pencil selections :) The other day I picked up a pack of Uni-Ball's newest free ink roller, the Vision Elite. 0.8mm ball and a new refill system that makes it the first airplane safe rollerball of its type on the market. Check it out at http://www.uniball-na.com Cool graphics and animations.

Wow guys. Here I thought I may be the only person into pens and knives. I have the Cross Morph which was a Christmas present last year. It is a nice pen, but I will have to admit I have spent a lot more.

Dexter, I do the same thing at the Office stores, always got to check out the pen aisle and front cases while visiting.

My latest purchase is the Fisher telescoping space pen. Hoping to have it by the weekend as I ordered it from www.penwa.com which I read about in a previous thread here.

Knives, pens, and watches - COOL stuff IMHO! ;)

GB - could you explain the telescoping space pen. I looked at the photo on the link you provided but still don't understand.

Thanks,

The telescoping space pen works like a old style one lens telescope. When you want to write you pull the from either end away from the other and the nib or writing point extends to write. When not in use you push the ends together and the point retracts and this makes the pen small for front pocket or wallet carry.

Try this other thread for more info as this is where I learned about the pen and penwa.com: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=152186&highlight=telescoping+space+pen

If this does not work use the search feature on the forum.

Hope this helps. ;) Mine pen still has not arrived yet. Will let eveyone know what I think when received.

Everyone have a great Saturday. I will try but have to put in some work OT today.

Don't worry, my fountain pen costs 15 times more than that. I am not proud to spend so much money for just a pen, but I guess each person is entitled to one passion...

..or two, or three maybe...

I had a chance to pick up an Omas Europa back in 98 and let it go. Electric Blue w/ gold appointments. Only 750 brought in to the United States. $450 back then, I couldn't guess now.

Always have a Space Pen though. Either CH4B, CH4, or AG-7. Oh yeah, and a chrome bullet in the pocket too. Pen Geeks of the World Unite!

I put a lot of miles on pens at work so I'm constantly out there looking for something comfortable, with great features, and that won't break my bank account. After reading some of the prices above I'm kinda concerned about how this 'interest' may turn out!? ;)

Anyway, the Morph is really a great design and very comfortable to use. The only drawback I've found so far is that the rubber on the grip tends to bunch a bit at the front as you write more an more. Doesn't really affect the workings or comfort but does look funny. Otherwise it is truly a comfort to use and as fagigue increases you can easily adjust for more support.

Rec'd the Telescoping Space pen on Saturday. It is cool for us gadget fans. The finish is kind of a matte gray or titanium color. It has a good feel in the hand (like a good knife :) ) and it writes from the get go. Plus at the $20.00 plus shipping cost through www.penwagifts.com/auction.htm I felt I could not go wrong.

Just my opinion but it you want a fun, gadget pen this is the one!

Love my telescoping pen. carry it in my back pocket everyday. At work it is just a backup but outside of work it is the only pen I usually carry (besides teh one in my SAK)

I love pens. I have a Fisher Astronaut that I keep coming back to. Got a Yafa quad pen and a Sensa pen, which she likes for taking notes. Very comfortable.

I even love disposables, Used to like the Uniball Vision; now I prefer the Uniball Gel.

Haven't found a pen/PDA stylus combo I like yet...
