i was trying to cut a flower as i walked from the car to my office and my knife slipped out of my hand and flew into the sidewalk :< it isnt that bad it could have broken and i would be devastated. its fixable i think . but still.. scratches on the tip and edge. its so blunt now. it has a date with a sharpmaker.. anyone else done this? its my M16-12

(poor typing, broken hand remember..)
 
I don't think you should have punished your hand so severely for it's first mistake. :eek:
Just sharpen the knife and forgive your hand.

lmfao thats good stuff.

I hate dropping new knives, or old knives, especially unblemished ones.

i have dropped my opinel, but always closed.

the locking ring locking the blade closed is nice...without it i have had knives pop open on the ground when they fall out of my pocket.
 
Would you really cry if you dropped an Opinel? They're good knives, but hardly irreplaceable...
 
While running my clipless Manix worked its way out of my pocket. Flew out, dulled the edge on some hard asphalt and chipped the G10. Spent that night fixing the flats and now it's as good as ever.
