Well, ever since I saw my first Chris Reeve hollow handled one piece knife I've wanted a Chris Reece knife. Well years go by and the Sebenza comes out and of course I want one of those too, alas time matches on and I bought other knives I could afford always going that some day of her me one.

Well that day has come, and due to a trade with a member, (Raybo) here at BFC, that day has come and I'm the proud owner of a small Sebenza 21 born last year just few days ago, (happy first birthday) and let me tell ya, I'm ecstatic, I can't put it down long enough to take pics but I will add soon as I can.

So when does the next 12 step support group meet?

Congrats, I just got my first a few days ago as well, also a small 21, and so far I'm very pleased. Mine was brand spanking new, and came a little stiff out of the box, but with a thorough take down and cleaning and a few days of playing with it it has smoothed out considerably. The action while opening is "hydraulic" feeling and the lockup is absolutely rock solid at around 50 percent on my example, yet when the lock bar is released the blade falls freely. I also did away with the stock convex edge in favor of my own edge via the wicked edge. I don't have enough use on it yet to really judge the blade steel, but thus far it appears to be holding up quite nicely, which is a relief for me as the s35vn at 58-59 was a bit of a concern for me coming from some other high carbide volume, high hardness, highly wear resistant super steels. I am definitely falling more in love with the knife every day, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Buddy, its all down hill from here. One sebenza just makes you want more!

Congratulations and enjoy!

Congrats.

Once I broke thru the mental barrier, I ended up with 3 sebenzas, 1 mnandi, a Nyala, a Professional Soldier, an umnumzaan, and a one piece Project 1. I have a new 25 on the way.

There is no turning back if the CRK bug bites.

The last time I felt like this was when I bought my William Henry P10 Lancet, when they first came out.

I know I'm doomed, I really kick myself for not buyin' a CRK One Piece Hollow Handled knife when I coulda brought 'em for $125 back in the day.

Go for a green beret or maybe a nyala. I wouldn't mind a couple one pieces, but the green beret is by far the nicest fixed blade I have ever held. Theres a lot of negative opinions floating around about it, but personally I tend to side with the two legendary knife makers that made it and most importantly the SF group that chose it.
