Well I guess Im still a little bit excited, but I just took a (almost)2 week trip to florida,we drove. My wife and I have a 10 month old and I live in chicago so it wasnt like I got to stop at every hardware store and k-mart from here to there but I sure tried. Any way I've got lots of knife storys about this trip and I guess I should break them up into a couple of forums, but here is the smkw rundown. First I guess I should say I wish I could have been there pre 2004, I'm sure It would have been much greater with a stock room full of usa schrades. I did get lucky though- they stll had some usa schrades that arent advertised in the books. (Im sure some of you guys allready know). First let me say If you havent been there I thought it was great, other than its getting hard to find usa knives. They had some of the greatest knife displays that I could of ever imagined. They had some unbelivable schrade collections up on the walls. The place has three or four levels and on the upper level on one of the counter tops I found a box full of schrade seconds. mostly green 53ots that I couldnt find flaws in other than schrade was ground off of the tangs. there was some other wood grained handle folders and misc usa schrades. I found 2 ducks unlimited fixed blade schrades that I bought for around $48 each. I dont know anything about them other than once I held them in my hand I knew It was worth $50 bucks to me. I hoping to find out what there worth if you guys know. Im planning to keep one and probablly e-bay one or put it in the trade forum here. All these knives say is Schrade + USA ltd. anyway if your ever in tenn I think its worth a stop at smkw. By the way there is still some usa schrades on the shelves there a couple of fixed blades and a couple of folders. thanks and any help on the knives I would appreciate. joel

I recently read an article about the knife museum at SMKW. It sounds impressive and got a lot of praise, I'd like to check it out sometime.
Looks like a nice pair of Bird and Trout knives (at least I think thats what they called them) you have there. Rick

Thanks for the info- if you were wondering about thoes 53ot seconds I was talking about, I love it. I love all of the green oldtimers. I allready had a few but that will make a great edc knife, just because schrade is ground off it still seems perfect to me.joel

I dont know if any of you guys are interested but smkw still has one of these knives that I pictured above avilable for sale. Im not trying to sell anything either so I hope I dont get yelled at for saying that in the forum. just trying to help someone out. thanks joel
