I have been meaning to get something off of my chest for a while now, and know that I can confide in the forumites. Nothing really serious, but basically:

Marya and I are a bit worn out by all of the Christmas shopping people have been doing. In case you don't know it, Gurkha House is a two person show, and we've been deluged by orders. A great thing from a business perspective, but it has been taking it's toll on us personally.

Of course, I don't help things by doing all sorts of end-of-year offers (although I am glad to do it for y'all

), but I just wanted to let you all know that my decreased presence here on the forum lately isn't from a lack of interest - far from it - this is my favorite place to go to blow off steam.

So, I guess I just wanted to say that I really love it here, and that I'm sorry I haven't been my normal self lately. Rest assured, with the goodies coming in the Christmas shipment (if it does get here before Christmas), I'll be invigorated for a second year of fun and excitement!

Thanks for letting me blow off some steam, guys.

Kipkan: Thanks for your kind words and understanding. I know you are not a regular poster here on the GH forum, so the words are even that much more meaningful.

To give you an idea, I had a customer order four 20 inch sirupatis in one shot - and that's the rule not the exception. We're pretty much wiped out of WWs and Panawals. From a "bank account" perspective, I'm not complaining in the least.

Most of all, I'm looking forward to another great year with the forumites.

Craig! You mean to tell us that you're only human?! I fully expected you to be able to work tirelessly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week -- I'm so disappointed to learn that you're not superhuman.
Seriously, we forumites understand that you need some time away from the forum during this time of year. However, some of us were a bit concerned by your absence because we were unaware of the reason. Now that we know, you have our permission to take as much time as you need -- and be sure to eat well and take your vitamins (I just couldn't resist that last little bit of "fatherly" advice).

Steven: Vitamins? What are those? Actually, I did buy some Centrum. They are sitting somewhere in my house. So, does HAVING them make me more healthy?

Actually, I don't NEED a break from the Forum - I actually need a break from business - and the Forum is the place I'd love to hang out most. Does anybody have a couple of hours in the day they'd be willing to trade for khukuris?
