Hello, I have put on my detective cap and my magnifying glass in hand and managed to follow a Large Sebenza P135 (Thank you much Franz) all the way back to its second owner. It has been a long road of email after email and speaking with people that honestly could give crap what I wanted. I have tracked this knife all the way back to its second owner. And if anyone can help me locate the original Birthcard for Large Sebenza P135 I will give you $200.00 for it. I know the exact date of the knife so Im not falling for this sure Ill just photoshop one real quick game, but if you can help me locate the original I will pay for your time and energy and Im so tired as Ive completely ran out of resources and avenues to look down. It is sad as the knife is beautiful and on its way to Reeve as we speak to hit the spa but I just want that damn birthcard. I know a ton of others have been on my shoes and know its out there somewhere but I just wanted to see if anyone could possibly help me? I feel that this is a piece of Reeve history and that in itself means a lot to me. All I want is a small rectangle piece of paper yet, I cannot locate it for the life of me and I have tried everything. Please feel free to contact me here or at rsmoliak@uccs.edu as if you have any advice or info that would be great. Im sure there are tons of other stories like mine and Id definitely like to hear them. Hope this somehow helps and I will never give up. Thanks for your time and to all take care.

Why don't you phone Anne Reeve and ask her to have Chris write up a new card for it. I am sure Chris would be happy to do so as well as giving you a letter verifying the authenticity and history of the knife.

This is what I would do. They can send the card to you when they return the Sebenza after the visit to the spa.

I believe the NUMBER KNIVES Anne Reeve will write up a new card and will use the original date.. I also believe with the numbered knives Chris Reeve WILL NOT write REPRO card since they can pinpoint the date of manufacture

That's good to know...

I have a large numbered P Sebenza that needs paperwork.

I spoke to Angela in quite detail and she said they will not rewrite old birth cards. No matter what the circumstance. She spoke about issues such as two people having the same birthcard but two different knives. I asked even if this applies to numbered knives such as mine and she said yes. So I am going to get alll my info. all my photocopies and send it in for Anne and Chris to read. Hopefully they will make an exception but I doubt it. To all of those that think it is simple to get a original card reissued without it saying "reissue" it is almost impossible, if not impossible alltogether. If anyone has any advice Id greatly appreciate it but even with a numbered knife such as the one that I am sending in my chances are minimal at best.

I'm just curious why it would be so important to have a birthday card on a numbered CRK. The number on the blade is the birthday card, it doesn't get any better than that. I think what's more important is the state of the blade, does it have all the original parts, has it gone to the spa, has it been sharpened, those are the more important parts in terms of collectable value IMHO.

I have a reissued card with an actual birthdate on it. Even when they know the date they won't do it. I agree with Dino that most buyers would be happy with a reissued card.
