I know this is a little harsh, but it's my opinion, good or bad: I consider CS knives in general knockoffs. So someone making a copy is doing a knockoff of a knockoff.

If you're referring to Fallkniven/CS design similarities, then you might want to get your facts straight. As far as I know design borrowing went the other way around in this case.

I am not referring to anything "Falkniven" or other, except CS and knockoffs, sir. Read the OP post and mine. Getting facts straight should indeed be a priority. Thanks.

??? I just read it.
Weren't you saying that you consider a Cold Steel's Trailmaster a knockoff of something else? And M-tech is knockoff of a knockoff?
I'm just wondering what CS Trailmaster is a copy of?

OK, Effer. Let me be clear by putting it another way:

What are you talking about? What did Cold Steel copy?

Are you sure you know what the word "knock-off" means?

There are literally hundreds of "similar" knife designs - if it's not the blade profile then the overall knife. When you say "knockoff", you are referring to a "copy" of another maker's knife, not a similar design.

I'm lost. Just for fun, if you care to clarify it for me so I can follow it.

1) According to the OP we are talking about knife design similar to CS Trailmaster. Right?
2) Do you think that CS Trailmaster is a knockoff, design copy of other knife?
3) If #2=YES, then what CS Trailmaster is a copy of?

Way to derail the thread. Every Cold Steel reference does not need to bing out the hate. Just answer the OP's question! (Thank you, Javelin! :) )

Copy? Yes, they've been known to. Knock-off? That's a copy they can't claim was public domain. Their lawyers get to argue that one, not me. Original designs, or designs uncommon in our knife world generally? Absolutely, they are masters at getting wild and crazy designs out that other companies won't touch.

Do not derail a legitimate thread with your personal Angst over a question we've already seen again and again and again and again ...

Could you please give examples of CS knockoffs and examples of knockoffs of Cs knockoffs. Thanks.

Ok, now I'm confused too - should I get the Sebenza or not?

Yes if you don't confuse CR and CS.

dantzk.

I'm confused. You ARE the OP of this thread. Were you meaning to reply to another thread instead of creating your own thread??

What's this a knockoff of?

With that San Mai III steel, the 9 inch blade, the Kraton handles, the stainless steel pommel, the American style tanto tip??? Knock off? Of what?
