I just don't see or hear enough about the 12 :confused:

Who has it?
Who likes it?
How does it compare with the 7, 10, 9, 2?

If you don't have it; why not?

I really want a 12 but with shipping to Canada, customs fees, etc., I can't justify about a $200 Becker.

Give me all you got!
 
ive seen it, lusted over it, thought about the lie to tell my wife when it showed up in the mail, but.....i just cant pull the trigger on that expensive of a knife without being able to justify its role in the rotation, so it still sits on my wish list.
 
loved it -- but in a fit of generosity, I traded it to a guy in NZ for an ESEE5 w/cocobolo scales... :(
 
I also have the 12, no pics as of yet, but I left the griv on. I love the way it feels in hand. The weights may be a little gimmicky, but I love the knife! Great knife for any camping duties!

Glad to hear the BK6 is working well for you!

I've never been a fan of the ESEE5 -- it's a good knife, I just prefer the ESEE6 and TAK1. (and the BK12 -- even my wife liked the feel of the 12 as a GP camp knife -- of course, she also likes my modded BH10, too)
The only reason I traded was because I figured it would be easier for me to offload the 5 to replace the 12 than it would be for the guy I was trading.
 
Yeah that ESEE 5 is one knife I will not get. I have an ESEE 4 on the way and the Junglas calls out to me. I absolutely will get a Laser strike when available.

But back on topic.

i has one with an early number on it. went into the safe :)

so i guess i liked it enough, but it's not a user.

my plan is to get a user down the road. no hurry. many knives to choose from.

Exactly my thoughts. Would I use it more often because I like it more than my 7 or because it was more expensive?

I'm aware this is hard to answer, but how alike the 10 & 7? Stronger? Better to baton with? Or does it all come down to preference of blade shape? Because I will admit, I'm developing a love for spear point. Much like that laser strike.

I just meant that size wise 5" to 7" blade length, it sits right in that category. I don't think it does anything better than those other two. it doesn't have that swedge so it doesn't tear up batton's. it's a cool blade and i'm glad i have one but it doesn't do magic tricks or anything. It's the same thickness as the others.
