Well I should have known better, leaving a knife on a dash of the car in this heat!

What should I do now?

Nothing to worry about. Your Butterfly knife has just reverted back to the caterpillar stage and has curled up for protection from the heat. It'll be good as new as soon as it cools down for a while.

Same thing happened to my shotgun. It's a Mothberg 500.
