I like Grapefruit...

Since Rob likes Oranges :)
I was out in the sticks today in South Texas and ran into a local rancher and his wife. After talking to them for a bit, he asked if I wanted some fresh Grapefruit off the tree. I was thinking a couple of grapefruit would be a nice surprise for the family. So we went out behind their house and there were the most grapefruit laden trees I'd ever seen. Then they break out a big old bag; big enough to hold about 100 pounds of grapefruit and filled it up! Prior to today, I was never a big grapefruit fan but these things are sweet! There's gonna be lots of grapefruit eating in my house for a while :)
It also turns out to be a good reason to show off my new XM-18
Sweet knife, sweet fruit! ;) PS: as you can see, it slices just fine, no slicer grind needed

I don't like GF but I do like that scale. Is that the new blue/black or have you had it for awhile? It's showing a nice ratio of color. I'd like that with matching anodized clip on my XM-18. :thumbup:

yes, its the new scale...Really looks good in my opinion.

Nice shot Jason. I don't know if the color of those grapefruit is true to life but it looks amazing on my screen.
 
Wow, that is the best looking greapfruit I've ever seen. Nice knife too.:thumbup:
 
Grapefruit is good, but you cut it the wrong way...you gotta cut it the other way, and eat it with a spoon!

In Texas we rip it to shreds, dig in, sling Grapefruit juice everywhere and grunt while we do it. I saw a guy here try and do it with a spoon once. He was immediately hung. Spoons and Sporks are illegal in TX

Do you guys in Jersey eat steak with a spoon? :D

So what if we do?! The above cracked me up though. :D

I like the G10 on this knife. It has a honeycomb later to it that is very cool. Don't know if I've seen it on anything but Hinderer knives.

Hahaha...no silly I eat steak with my bear paws and a buck 110!...

I eat grapefruit with a spoon when I'm wearing a suit. HAHAHA
