I don't post much; I'm more of a lurker. This is pretty subjective, but it seems like most Busse owners are friendlier compared to others. I guess when I get my first Busse; I know where to go for advice.

Corbon,

Welcome to the forums! It goes something more like this. Everyone on Bladeforums is friendly, for the most part. However the Busse forum is different in that we all have a problem. None of us can stop buying INFI. It is realy more like a support group except that we are so easily excited that instead of interventions we egg each other on into buying more. Oh well.

That said, I read in another post by you that you hadn't found a Busse you liked yet. My first was a Basic 9 bought through Bladeforums when they first came out. I used it a little but thought that it was too cumbersome. Then, one day, I was removing a tree from by yard and was actually looking for a demolition bar when I stumbled across by Basic 9. I remembered Jerry's warranty and went at the stump. I hit roots, rock and dirt but the blade still looked good and was damn sharp. That's when I realized the beauty of Busse knives.

That said, they offer the best performance/cost ratio of any knife out there. They aren't the most attractive knives I've seen but they are the most attractive to use. Comfortable, durable and a relative bargain. Find one you like, or you like most, buy it, use it and if you don't like it you can always sell it. I am sure that there are plenty of guys here who would be willing to take it off you hands for about what you paid.

My name is Jeff and I'm a Busse-a-holic.
I bought INFI because I thought it was cool.
After a year I was addicted, that was two and a half years ago...

Corbon,
Maybe I'm biased ;):D but this is by far my most visited forum. I not only like the knives, but I like the company(Jerry) and I like the Busse forumites.

I get tired of all the complaining and Back-stabbing that occurs on many of the other forums but not here and not on the Busse Website Forum. It is a classy Company and a you can tell by how he runs his forums.

I hope to see you join in our discussions more often :D

Corbon, Welcome to my "happy" place :D Eric was right about BFC as a whole, but this is my favorite forum by far as well. As was said theres a great bunch of guys, and behind it all is a great company.

As a whole there will always be someone that can answer any question, I've never had one go unanswered yet, even if it's more of a historical question.

Stick around, and jump in.... :)

Welcome Corbon. I'm new here myself. My first Busse hasn't even arrived yet, but I was treated real well right away. Great forum. Great vibes. Gotta be great knives. No BS. Thanks to you all for that. EC

Corbon, welcome. As others have said, any question you have, fire away.
The quality of these knives is only surpassed by the level of customer service.
You can't beat the knives (enough) and you sure as hell can't beat the service.
If you need help in deciding which model best fits your needs, there are plenty of owner/users here who can give testimonials pro/con for those needs.

Hope you get your Busse soon, and please post pics when you do, if you can.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

Mike

Best knives

Best warranty

Best people

I was treated like family the first time I posted. This place is just like my family. Everyone has guns and knives. Everyone accepts you just the way you are, and everyone's opinions are valued.

These people are even cooler in person. I feel privledged to be in the company of such people, they are truely beyond words.

Darkjedi - May the Force be with you.

Corbon,

Like you, I'm a lurker. I do not own a Busse and have not even held one, yet I always check this forum out and live my "Infi" dream. Everyday I think Steelheart or Satin Jack?
Great bunch of guys keep this forum civil, friendly and happening.
:D

Gord.

Hello Everyone,

Yes, I agree....Great bunch of people here.

You can ask any thing and someone will be along soon to help you out.
No flames, no dumb ass answers, no picking fights, no eating your young, Yes...it is a good place to be.

It's nice to see so many new guys, feel free to jump in at any time.
And remember, the only "Dumb" question, is the question you don't ask.

Leemah1, buy them both. Get it over with. Dilemma should be over what type sheath to then get.

One thing you will definitely find, if you haven't picked up on it yet, is this place is full of "enablers".

You will always find a helping hand.

Welcome, and good luck on your choice. I love my Steel Heart, but the Satin Jack is a great piece also.

Ahh, don't sweat it Leemah1.
Once you get bitten by the Busse bug you'll realize that you'll be much better off with them both;)

Welcome aboard:)

I should have known.....:D

Here is a question for youse all...

How many owners prefer custom sheaths for their user Busse's, or are the factory rigs quite acceptable? I am considering a drop leg for the SH I do not have.;)

Corbon...don't mean to hijack your thread but these guys got me talking.

Cheers,
Gord

Hi Gord,
Glad you decided to de-cloak and join in the fun!

I have to agree with everybody, thumbs up to BF and a BIG thumbs up to the Busse forum.

I think they call it "organizational psychology" and I don't know anything about it from an academic stand point, but I'm self-employed and I deal with a lot of large organizations as customers, and my personal observation is that big organizations acquire a tone or attitude that is noticeable and distinct. Without boring you with the details of my observatons, suffice it to say that after a number of ahha experiences after meeting the person at the top, I am convinced that the group tone or attitude comes directly from the person on top, I don't understand how, or why, that's way beyond me, i just think it's true! My point is I think it is true in this case with Jerry Busse and with this forum and with the forum on the Busse combat site. Think about when you deal with Jerry or read his posts, or call the Co. and talk to one of the famous "Busse girls" or the moderators,etc.. etc.. Jerry's good people, he puts good people in his Co. and he chooses good people to be his moderators. I don't mean to take anything away from the great people who post on these forums, because it is you the forumites that are the vitality of the forum, but I only mean to point out that in IMHO the framework, the environment in which we post in this forum, comes from Jerry. And I am greatful to him cause I like it here, it's fun. I am always amazed at how often I am willing to trade time I could be sleeping for time on the Busse forum.

I agree with everything said so far. The Busse forum is THE place if you are looking for great knives, great people and great conversation!

Nobody here has steered me wrong yet! By the way, if you are choosing between 2 Busse's , don't worry - you will probably wind up getting both. You cannot resist the FORCE....!

Well said jyen.

My name is Hunter and I'm a Busse-a-holic
I bought my first Busse 'cause I thought I needed it
Now I buy more INFI 'cause I was right

Welcome aboard.

We are just all to busy playing with our Busses and saving for the next INFI dose to have any time or ambition to fight with eachother.

The knives are great, no question about that. Jerry is a class act and think that permeates through his company, his Forums, etcetera. The above observations are correct from where I sit. I come here to relax, socialize with other Busse-aholics and not to have contention with anyone, except, of course Eric, who engages me frequently on which Forum is better; the one he moderates or the real Busse Forum here: http://www.bussecombat.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=1&SUBMIT=Go :D

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!! I hope to do less lurking for now on. I always try to do a search on something before I ask a question. I hate to ask a question that was answered a million times before.
