I agree with Centurian, although I do like a Tanto blade, I find the Voyager clip point far more to my liking.
I have restructured my edge to a little bit thinner (less angle) edge as only a small ammount of my use is long hours of cardboard slicing or dead wood cutting -- and the edge still retains a nice shaving edge with occassional use of a steel.
For years I kept the edge with a greater angle but it seems to be keeping the edge just as well now -- so the steel is quite good according to my use, which is numerous times each day.
