To my knowledge this is the only knife actually branded "Spyderco" that is made in China (The Byrd line is owned by Spyderco, but is branded Byrd"). That being said, the Chinese 8Cr13MoV steel performs about the same as AUS8. So you get the performance of AUS8 and G10 in a $30 well made folder. All the reviews I have read have been glowing.
