My Vic. RangerGrip came in. For size perspective, below is the new version Soldier and a Farmer. This one is a big mamma jamma, but it isn't heavy. You press down on the cross to release the locked blade. Liking this one so far, but it hasn't tasted wood yet.

I own some out of the Wenger Ranger series as well. They are nice knives. But I prefer the 109 mm Vics.

I have the very same Soldat 08 you are showing there. But I reground mine to a flat ground and removed the serrations. Need to get a pic soon...

Yes, it is large. But it feels ok to me in an XL gloved hand.

After playing with it a bit, it strikes me as almost an updated Rucksack.

Yes, I like the Soldier and can see it as a more practical size. The only thing that I never liked about was those serrations.
