Today my son and I went Christmas shopping. While we were out, we had to go to Sportsmans Warehouse
Actually it is called Wholesale Sports or something like that now. Anyway, when it was SW they had a great selection of knives, from quite a few different companies.
When we walked back to where the knife section use to be, I was in shock...
They had gotten rid of probably close to half, or more of the knives.
Anyway, they still have a great selection of Bucks, and they had the slip joints on display in the case. I have recently taken notice of the Buck slip joints, and am going to get a 301.
I have to admit, I was always a little put off by the plain black scales, and am planning on getting the Charcoal version, or possibly the yellow.
When I saw the black knives sitting in the case, I found my preconceived dislike for the black, was wrong. They look great.
It made me feel even better when I saw the U.S.A tang stamp.
I didn't buy one though, because their prices have gone up quite a bit, and with work being slow, like a lot of folks, I'm looking to save where ever I can.
I will probably be ordering one in the next couple days, and can't wait to get one in hand. I've always focused on Case slip joints, but I'm not sure why I waited so long to give the Buck a try...
Sorry for the long post, but I'm still excited after looking at them
