 I know this isn't really a knife tread but I have to tell someone who might actually care. I went to a friends party last night and during all the "fun" my 705 must have slipped out of my pocket somewhere and I didn't notice it until the next morning. So I tried to call the girl whos party I was at to tell her but she didn't call me back. The party was like an hour away from my house so I guess thast one is just gone. DAMN IT. I only had it a month. It was my EDC and I never went anywhere without it. The worst part of the whole thing is that that was my second one, I had one and a guy offered me a really good price for it so sold it and now I've lost this one.:(

I think I know how you feel. My Camillus CUDA 154CM EDC was lost(stolen) from a hotel room in Williamsburg VA. We have a 1.5 year old and my wife took him for a walk outside the hotel while I put the luggage in the car. The housekeeper was coming out of the room shoving something into her pocket when I was walking back down the hallway to get the rest of our stuff.

Was the managers excuse? Did he chat with the thief? Did you talk to anyone at the hotel? That is wrong and something should be done. If you could not do it then forsome reason Do It Now! call the motel and if it is a chain send a letter to the district manager. Don't let the criminals win.

I know how that can feel! I was at a party once and dropped my 705 into a pond off a dock. While unconfirmed, I may or may not have had a few beers, and had no reservation about jumping fully-clothed into the drink and fishing around with my feet until I found it.

I'm sorry for your loss. Nobody should be without a 705. Give me a shout via email if you want some help replacing it.

Professor.

What a lousy excuse to buy a great new knife. I really feel bad for you. :( Next time, lose it my place. :)

Most unfortunate. To avoid that kind of problem, I generally use the clip whenever possible. I've always been a bit wary of simply dropping a knife into the pocket. I've done it, but have been lucky so far.

John,

I'm having a party at my place this coming week-end. You are invited, but you must bring-along a couple of nice knives.:D.:D.

I would advise everyone to clip their knife to their waistband. I had my Delica clipped to my pocket tonight at a football game. I went to feel for my knife like I always do, but it was not there. I began to worry what had happened to it, because I had not moved more than 5 feet in the stands. I looked down at the pocket of the person standing next to me. There my knife was, clipped to HIS pocket. I asked him how big his hand was, and for him to hold it up for comparison with mine(his hand was covering the knife most of the time, so I thought I would get it off the knife with this ham-handed scheme). When he did I snatched the knife off his pocket and asked him where he got this, since it was my knife. He looked scared and said he had just found it on the ground near me.
