I dropped my CRKT m21 into a pond the other day. i loved that knife and plan on ordering another one in the next couple days, before i drop the money on it tho is there another folder in the same style size quality, that is considered "better" or should i just go ahead and get another one.

Yea i know, to my defense i'd carried it every day for the past couple years.. any other suggestions tho
i like the looks of the boker kalashnikov but don't want an auto,
anybody have an opinion on the m21-14sfg with the veff serrations my last one was a little bit different of a model

You can never go wrong with a Spyderco tenacious g10 ,okay steel, good size, smooth, zero play and good price.i own up to 800 dollar knives and it has always impressed me!

Assuming you have the big version of the M21 with almost 4" blade- there aren't too many similar knives on the market. For a lot more money of course there is the Benchmade 275, but in a similar price range I can only think of the Ontario Rat 1, or Cold Steel Voyager/Lawman/Recon 1. Also by CRKT there is the Crawford Kasper and the Hammond Cruiser, both of which are available for less than the big M21.

if it served your purposes well get another one i say. i've never been big on veff serrations as far as that goes, but try to check on out in person and see if you like them.
can you give some criteria? like blade length, acceptable handle materials, steel, and price range you're interested in as far as other knives go?

I have an M21-14SFG

Very good knife for what you pay.

Only diff between that one and the 14SF is it uses 8cr14mov which is effectively the chinese version of aus 8

I didn't see any difference between my 14sfg and 14SF

Only thing to bear in mind:
The crkt sf knives do open wave style but are very pocket dependent.
I've had issues where the "wave flipper" tries to open the blade but the "index finger flipper" catches on my inner pocket and pulls the knife closed again

I'd recommend practicing deploying wave (If that's what you want) with every pants you wear

To resolve file the teeth off the index finger flipper so it grips less on your inner pocket

If it's not going to be too noticeable sew your inner pocket of the pocket you carrying your knife in to your pants so it doesn't pull out when you pull your knife out.
