I have NEVER lost a wallet or knife or keys in my life. I carry a Buck crosslock camo. I had an appt. at the Nashville V.A. to get my staples from my shoulder replacement and I must have lost it getting in or out of my truck. Have any of you lost your edc?

At times I have misplaced my EDC, but luckily I have always found it. I do have a Vic swiss champ I can't locate. Kind of bummed as I actually found that knife laying on the ground outside, when I was a kid, and it has sentimental value. It's probably somewhere in a box of junk, I hope.

The other week I thought I lost my new Vic. Huntsman with LED light that I bought back in August when I was in Maine. I found it under my bed. My son must have gotten ahold of it and tossed it under there. :)

Sorry for your lose.

Wow that's the pits. I never lost my edc but I've forgotten it. When I do I get this sinking panicky feeling - oh sh-t. So I can only imagine what you are feeling. Sorry for your pain.

Buck crosslock _CAMO_. Isn't that asking for it? :)
In all seriousness, it does suck. :grumpy:

Don't mean to hijack this one, but this question just came to my mind: If, knock the wood, u lose your edc, will u buy a new make/model of knife for replacement or u will buy the same model fo your old knife again? I'd go for a new model except if I lose the SAK Soldier, Buck 110 or the Buck 532 overrun, I just like those so much that no new knives can replace their status in me.

Only one I had to replace, a Spyderco/Viele, my daughter bought me one off Ebay to replace it.

Don't give up hope, I've found a knife that was MIA for 5 Years. :D

Nightmare. I feel your pain. The thought of losing my Sebenza, or BM 710 HSSR, or Ritter Grip... ughh.

Have you searched your truck thoroughly? Under the seats? Under the carpet? In the seat rails? Often knives can catch on a seat belt & be flicked out into somewhere inaccessible.

Try offering your kids $5 to find the knife in the truck. Lend them torches to make it fun. Kids can find anything!

Best of luck.

As always, sage advice from the (retired) LEO from across the pond.
I lose an average of about 1 knife/year, usually a SAK or multitool that I'm always pulling out and using, but sometimes something that slid out of a pocket. the good part is, I eventually find most of them. the bad part is that I EVENTUALLY find most of them, but of course I can't do with one for that amount of time, so I gotta go buy a new one. The other bad part (for me) is that I keep Victorinox (among others) in business. The other good part is that I have damn well carried about every model they make.......

Also check with the desk at the V.A.-- it could have fallen out while you sat down in the waiting room or something........

I lost a Meerkat twice. They have a really sh!tty clip and it tends to fall out of my front jeans pocket or my sleeve catches it or whatever. After it happening twice I got smart enough not to carry it that way any more. Amazingly I found it again both times purely by chance.

I also thought I lost my SS Cricket once too but my wife found it in the bed OPEN! That could have proved interesting ....

Touch wood, I've never lost any of my bigger knives.

Maybe where your from, you've obviously never asked an american teenager where the cordless phone, or tv remote are, or to find something in the refrigerator. ;)

But if it ment finding the knife

It's happened to me three times. First was a Cold Steel small Voyager, second time was a William Henry T-10 CF and the third time was a SMALL SEBENZA!!!

Same thing happened each time. I was sitting in a hired vehicle and reached into my right front pocket to retrieve my money clip and aparently knocked the knife loose in the process. The Voyager was on a bus in the UK and the other two were both in cabs in Las Vegas. I will never ever take out my cash while sitting in a hired vehicle again.

Well, sorta.

I let a hunting buddy borrow my Buck folder to dress his deer, he never returned it. Your post just made me realize he still has my knife. That was over 7 years ago.

Tell him that you've given it a great deal of thought over the years but you have come to the decision that you have no other option but to kill him.
