I lost my new knife!!

hi - I recently have been on a Kasper designed knife binge (eg - a crawford kasper custom, a CRKT kasper, have a CRKT companion on order, and have a pointguard also) and last week i thought i would add a small CRKT kasper folder to use as a utility knife - the knife arrived today while I was at work, and i told my wife to go ahead and open the box up - she described the knife, and commented 'this is pretty cool' - by the time i got home, she had decided that the small kasper would be great for her to carry,AND her birthday is next week - well what could I say?? It is the first time I have lost a knife before I even got to play w/it, she flat took it lol - well I guess its cool that the wife gets into knives, but I was looking forward to using that knife, and now cant decide if I should order another 1, or wait for the aluminum handle knife that CRKT had at the show to come out - decisions decisions - but she does like the kasper - perhaps I can get her to write a review of it ...

I would definatly wait for the AL handle...and better steel if that is an option.

I don't know which is worse.
I hear so many stories here at BFC about guys having to justify their new knives, or worse, hide them!
Or, like you and myself,
Have a wife who gets into the same stuff you do. It DOUBLES the price of your hobby!

I think that is FAR better than having a wife who hates your hobby!! My wife likes knives and has a few of her own, so I'm in the same boat...
 
I think it would be great if you could get her to write a review. It would help those of us who would like to improve our Significant Other's knife views. It would also be useful in understanding what might make a good introductory knife gift to a SO.

My wife has swiped 3 of the last 10 knives I purchased. She made of with a 154CM Camillus EDC, Camillus YellowJacket, and my CRKT Point Guard. She's now eyeing my KFF!!!

My next purchase will have more knives than I want, just so I get the ones I wanted!!!
 
Actually you can use it any time you find something to trade her for it! What an interesting idea, a wife with whom you can actually compare notes, not on just one blade, but many!
 
hi - talked to her tonite, and she agreed to do a review in a few wks, once she gets to know the knife - that should be intersting, to say the least lol - but in all honesty, it is pretty cool, she gets into guns also (SIG P225 9MM, Colt det spec .38, browning BLR, .308. S&W 1000 (?) 20 gauge auto shotgun, and a remington 870 12 riot gun) and has a concealed carry permit too - when she got her first license, she shot to qualify w/my SIG 220 .45 ACP, the biggest gun there - and she shot a 224/250, not too bad - so i have a wife, and a partner - she is pretty cool, been together 20+ yrs, lived together 13 yrs, then married 11 yrs ago - had our son on our first wedding anniversary - i think i'll keep her .......watch for the review

Excellent idea to have your wife do a review! We need to get more women interested in this stuff.

Wish I had a girlfriend who "stole" MY knives!
