I knew I had it, just never made much of an effort to find it. I have my own walk in closet and as my wife says, it is a pit. I keep all boxes for 95% of things I buy and every few years I have to purge. So did the deed today and found this Recon 1 Tanto that I bought in maybe 2005?

Man, these were good knives. Butter smooth action.....zero bade play when open. Zytel does not rip my pants and it is made like a tank. Not totally sure of the steel....Some say AUS-8A, others show CS catalogs saying it is 440A.

Anyhow, great freakin knife.

That was the "must have" CS folding knife model
back when the recon1 first appeared.
I remember just how awesome when compared to the vintage voyagers.
Some folks swear by that very model and takes its tactical usage very seriously.
