It is a contemporary take on the traditional Carribean style called the "guayabera." They've been popularized since the Latino community here has grown to the numbers it's at now, and you can get stuff like that from the line called "Cubavera" via JC Penney, and other spots.

If you can find a Havana Shirt Co. somewhere, you can usually find some REALLY nice one-off stuff in long AND short sleeve.

The traditional guayaberas have pleats down both sides of the shirt and 4 front pockets--two at each breast, two down near the bottom below the breast pockets. Down here, a guayabera and a panama is pretty much formal wear.
