Hey all,
I think I have brought this up before, but I thought I would re-emphasize the point.
I have a BM 705. It is a KOTM from May 2000. It has aluminum handles that had been painted (kind of like a decal) to look like carbon fiber. It is heavier than the regular g-10 model. The paint/decal got scratched, so I took it apart and removed all of the paint. In doing so I discovered it only had one omega spring. I contacted Angie at BM cstomer service, and she had me send in. They sharpened the blade, put bronze washers in, put on a satin clip (it was black) and added the missing spring. I had it back in a week and cost me a whooping zero dollars (except shipping there.)
This knife absolutely rocks. It is smooth like butter. The lockup is so solid it feels like a fixed blade when open. The weight is perfect, not too heavy, not too light. Perfect hand feel. I've owned more expensive knives. I loved my Sebs but financial reasons forced me to sell them, but I would not part with this knife even though it is kind of a beater now (as I carry it most of all my knives). I just thought I would share. Peace all, Josh
