THe Drone has become my favorite imported assisted opener from Kershaw. It is very comfortable in my hands, and I love the fact that the blade is 2 3/4" and the OAL is under 7". This is a great assisted opener for places where shorter blades are required. I think it also cuts just fine and the has excellent edge retention for an under $30 knife. The budget Kershaws are all incredible bang for the buck.

found them for $20 shipped and they are very nice!!!

You cannot go wrong with Kershaw's budget knives. Everything they make between $15 and $60 is absolutely smokin'! Among the budget asssisted openers, the Drone, Volt II, Clash, and Oso Sweet are my favorites.

I corrected my post I meant to say Under $20 shipped...great value! The others you mentioned are also great values. I will say that the price of the USA made ones is really a better bargin for what you get, but I like them all...lol...

i was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Scamp, which is my only "budget" Kershaw. frame lock, DLC blade, smooth opening, great lockup, and much larger than i expected it to be. here are a few comparison pics with my blur, which is the closest to it in size/weight.

while i prefer to buy US made knives, my experience with the Scamp and many threads like this have convinced me that you CAN, in fact, get a quality knife made in China. keep up the good work Kershaw!
