Okay ... so I can't go to Blade .... but I can sit here and ogle over the new large Seb that arrived today. Snakewood and Raindrop Damascus. Snakewood and Box Elder happen to be right up there in the list of my favorite woods.

This will be the last one for a little while. I have 2 Mnandis on order (one Box Elder and one Snakewood of course). Now, it's just a matter of waiting to see if something strikes my fancy .... that is .... unless Lisa is willing to sell me one of those two beautiful Sebs she snatched .... you know which ones I am talking about!!!!!

Ohhhhh, I love that combination, damascus and snakewood, congrats!
I do know which ones you're talking about and you know how it goes, they're so new to me, I'm still in the honeymoon stage with them. :D

Gorgeous! I really love how the two inserts on the Sebenza kind of enhance the snakewood patterns. (As compared to my snakewood Mnandi, which just has one.) Wow that is nice!

Thanks all. I have been wanting a snakewood Sebenza since I saw some pics. Finally was able to find one in stock and jumped on it. I gotta tell you, my CRK collection is now up to 8 and this ranks way at the top of my favorites. I am holding off on doing a "family" photo until the 2 Mnandis are in my hands! That could still be a ways off.

Now that's a stunner!

The thinner strips of snakewood look amazing. I've got a knife with snakewood, and have seen others with a wide piece, but the thinner pieces look much better IMO.

Very nice pictures and great looking knife. Excellent snakewood damascus combination.

Makes me wanna remove my Seb from the exchange! Beautiful knife! I too am a snakewood fan!!

Again, thanks all. Got up this morning and the first thing I did was grab the new Seb to admire it! To those who might not find themselves frequenting forums like this ... that might seem a little odd. Hopefully you understand!! Anyway, ref my pics. I think I mentioned in one of my other posts. I really don't have an artistic bone in my body. I know the principles of photography, but always find it difficult to put them into practice. Then, all too often, I find myself in too much of a hurry to actually plan what I am going to do. A good example is the 3rd shot in the group above. That piece of wood is some drift wood pulled out of Lake Erie. When very wet, it shows of some very nice reds in it. That's what I would have really wanted when taking a photo of the snakewood Seb on it. But .... was so much in a hurry to get some pics of this thing, it didn't cross my mind (at the time) to soak down the wood. To give you an example of what the piece of wood looks like when saturated with water, here's a LINK to a pic I took of another knife for the LionSteel forum (scroll down to the 3rd pic in the series). Thanks again ... and I can't say it enough .... I love snakewood!!
