About 45 years ago my Mom gave me my first real knife! A Craftsman Barlow! I carried that knife everywhere and cut and carved miles of materials. Learned a few bloody lessons along the way too! I still vividly recall my Aunt scolding me to hold still while she pried it back open to get it off my finger. Don’t pry with folding knives!!!! This Craftsman is where it all started for me and a lifetime passion for knives! The Craftsman has definitely seen better days but I’d still put it to use again if needed
Alongside are two more of my favorites in GEC form
The 14 I got because I was patient and fast recently. The 77 came from a wonderful Friend and a little horse swapping. I’ve got a few others but these are my favorites…….so far
Edit to add: I call it a Craftsman but it was made I believe by Sabre. Mom bought it at Sears so I always referred to it as Craftsman
