Got one a couple of weeks ago and to be honest I wasn't sure if I'd like it.
Figured since the small 21 was such a quality blade all the hype Chris Reeve's site says about the zaan wasn't lies.
The more I use this thing the more I can say this is my favorite blade ever.
Love everything about it.
Just wanted to get mushy with you guys since nobody else I know would appreciate my enthusiasm.
Had to tell somebody...
:thumbup::D:):cool:

I hate to admit it but I bought one and sold it a couple of months later. i didn't appreciate it but now I know what a great knife it was after owning few more different brands after the sell. I want one again. Maybe I'll pick one up at Blade.

I love mine too, Even though it cost a bit more than my sebbies I reach for it more often as my "hard user" for some reason. (not that I coddle the sebenzas...)

I've got an old tanto Sebenza that I couldn't coddle if I wanted to. It came to me needing a good cleanup and has been looking for ways to get gunked up, scratched, and dull ever since. I oblige it. It still cleans up nicely afterward. :)

I got to handle an Umnumzaan AND an Insingo recently. I would like an Umnumzaan but I NEED an Insingo. Chris hit that ball right out of the park. I have had large and small, classic and regular, drop point and tanto. The Insingo is a worthy successor to a great line of knives. Now, an Umnumzaan with the Insingo blade ...

" I'm not a fan of the Insignio blade shape. What the purpose?"

I don't see how the design would benefit me, but it looks kinda cool.

The sheepsfoot blade lowers the point so you have more control. I find it especially usefull for whittling and making precise cuts on whatever material against a backing (ie. Cutting carpet against plywood or cutting shapes in leather against a wood shop bench. Its also easier to sharpen for many people.
