I love this coating. Reminds me of the original flat coat. Would like to see more

THis was a real nice piece from KC. I would like to see more of this type of coating. Awesome knives coming from Ohio Boss:cool::thumbup:

Hey, I think I know what you are talking about. I think I have a AD with it, it's very thin and light in thickness, I think it would show a lot of dimples if the blade wasn't smooth though so I was thinking underneath has to be satin or DC... I didn't see NMSFNO though... or any other blades in that color...

What in particular do you like about it T? Hard to tell much from the photo.

Good question Will...

Right now I can only speak of its look and feel cause I havent used it, but it looks and feels like the original straight handled series. It is smooth

Yeah...smooth coats. They were nice. I had a Steel Heart ergo and a Steel Heart II that both had smooth black coats. The coats were tough as nails too. I beat the snot out of my SHII and all the coat did was rub into the blade. Cool if it came back for a couple of runs.

Here is a comparative shot. It's a smooth coating and sort of a flat color instead of the crinkle.

That's nice! Reminds me of the military foliage green color. Looks like it would match the ARMY's ACU very well.

Hmmmm... so the consensus is that it is more of a smooth coat.

But I don't see anyone who has tested the coating...

My question is.... how does it wear???

Someone go beat it! :)

That combo looks sharp kh! I wish OD or foliage G10 was offered more often than it is. Satin/OD would be a "every knife" purchase for me if offered.

Very nice, OD is my favorite coating. I really like that smooth OD:thumbup:
