Hey guys, been a while since I posted in the Swamp! I was just outside splitting some wood for a fire, when I got to the last log and just couldn't get the Tramp through it. I am admittedly stubborn as a mule, so I bashed the living hell out of it for about 2 minutes before plowing through a massive double knot! My palm may be numb, but the Tramp didn't feel a thing. After splitting 6 logs (HARDwood), there is not one chip, dent, ding or roll. Took her inside, cleaned her up, and she still slices paper.
I have had so many damn knives I couldn't count them all. Busses, Swamp Rats, Scrap Yards, Bark Rivers, Cold Steels, Fehrmans, ect, ect, ect. I keep coming back to the Battle Rat and Camp Tramp after all these years! The blade profile and handles are very simple, but they are equally as functional. A rounded finger choil is also KEY, as I find the square finger choils of my other Scrap Yard knives to be very uncomfortable/unnatural in my hands. I just love this knife!! Rant over
Have a good night everyone!
