I finally made a knife for myself its cable Damascus 6”1/2 OAL the blade 3”Lx1” Wthe handle is imitation stag I wasn’t to impressed the use powdered bone and epoxy when I used dye to antique it the epoxy filler colored differently than the bone let me know what you think

Cool knife Rotor! I just love cable damascus and you got a nice pattern out of that one. What kind of cable and how big was the bundle you started with? I just picked aome up and am going to try it soon. ALso, how many heats did you have to do and did you fold it?
 
I like it, Rotor. Looks functional, comfortable, nice clean lines. I also don't notice the discoloration. Congratulations, hope you manage to keep this one for yourself!!:)
 
peter cant rember exactly how many heats it took. i didnt fold this piece this is the same cable that maxtheknife made his last two cable damascus knives out of it i beat out the billets for him for trade of more cable the cable is 1 inch in dia.

Nice cable also.The imitation stag doesn't look to bad.You might try finding a old cow bone and then jig it yourself and then try dying it the way you want.
