well, my carpet here in the living room is now covered with wood chips.
I hadn't had a chance to really test either of my khukuris, and happened to have a KM 15" AK sitting on futon next to me when I leaned over to pick up my book off the floor. What should I see then but a pack of pine stakes that I bought to practice whittling and grinding on(too thick to pretend they're blades, but still good to practice a hollow grind on, as I've still yet to try one of those).
Of course, seeing a pile of wood, and looking at my khukuris, I had to try it. So chopping, splitting and slicing until I had a big mess to clean up, I had fun. Cut up a bit of micarta too. That took some work, luckily it was my homemade stuff which tends to be a bit softer than stuff you buy.
So anwyays, not that there was any doubt of this fact, but these things can sure cut, and they do it without any folding of the edge.
