Today I stopped by a local woodcraft store to get another waterstone, while looking through the waterstone's I overheard a guy at the counter talking about micarta, wood, and knives.... all the magical words. 
The employee at the counter didn't seem to know much about what the guy was asking so I decided to see if I could help. We got to talking and he seemed to know his stuff, his steels of choice were O1, A2, and D2. He asked me about knife sharpening seeing the waterstone in my hand and said that was the one part he was still a little unclear on. I think I made his ears hurt with all the info I dumped on him but he seemed very egar to learn. I also told him about bladeforums and that he needed to join.
I just thought I would share this with everyone because I thought it was kinda cool to meet someone that has as much love for knives as the rest of us.
So bob, if your out there get ta joining and lets see some of those knives.
