I'm in Boise for the week and I was able to go to where Chris Reeve makes his knives! It was really nice because even though the sales person knew I wouldn't be able to buy one, she still took the time to let me hold all the knives and teach me about CRK. I've never been around knives of that quality before. After It came out that I am starting to make my own knives, she went in the back to see if Mr. Reeve could come talk to me. He came in and looked at a picture of one of my knives and gave me some advice on how to make better ones and of how to take my knife making to the next level. It was really amazing!!! They gave me a CRK tee shirt and he signed it! I'm really stoked, he has inspired me to get more into knives and knife making. He even talked with my parents for a long time about non-knife related stuff, about South Africa, and a little about his life story. He is a really cool guy! I'm really excited so I couldn't help but boast a little to you guys that I got to meet Chris Reeves.

I would LOVE to meet Mr. Reeve he is truely a legend in the knife community, would be such an honor to meet him most of all in his own shop. I can also think of no one better to give advice on how to make your knife better.

I'm so super jealous it's not even funny. Not just because Chris Reeve is a legend in the knife world, but his manufacturing process is wonderful. I would pay good money to tour that shop, even if he was producing tightly toleranced clothes pins :D

That is great to hear that he is such a nice person! Makes me want another one of his knives......

That sounds like you had a grand old time. It's always a pleasure to talk with Chris and the CRK crew at Blade. He does a pretty good Scottish accent when he is taking the mick out of me too. :D:thumbup:

You lucky dog. :grumpy::D Great story. Glad to hear you were treated so well. It's always nice to know that an epic knife maker is also an epic human being. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool you got to meet him. Even better is the fact that he was nice to you and your parents. Giving you advice on how to improve your knives is a nice bonus.

I thought I had a good day but you clearly had a better day.

Oh wow, he sounds like a really nice guy!

That must have really been something! I would love to take a tour of his shop and meet him.

You lucky son of a gun!

I'm happy for you, and delighted that Chris would take time to talk to you folks. Good deal.
