I'm on my way home from G6 where I got the opportunity to meet Mr Emerson and have a conversation with him. He's honestly one of the nicest, most sincere men I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I told him of my appreciation of his knives and he thanked me for being a loyal customer. He didn't rush to finish the conversation with me or anyone else he talked to. He genuinely wanted to hear everything we had to say. It's good to see the head of the company I buy from the most is such a good guy. You can see he truly loves what he does and appreciated every customer, whether you own 1 or 100 of his knives.

That is a good thing he is down to earth person?

I'd say so. There were other makers I met that didn't seem to have the same passion or good attitude as Ernest does. I believe that good attitude translates into the knives he makes and the business he runs.

And, Ernest's knives are purpose-driven.

I was impress with a u-tube of Mr. Emerson being interview, and question about all the "whys" do you do it this way, or use this steel. In the end of the interview Mr. Emerson sold me that has has thought out all his choices of materials, and why he does his knives the way he does.

I bought a CQC-7, and am very happy with what I got for the money spent. I was a hard sell, as it took a lot for me to spend almost $200.00 on a pocket knife.

Yes. ^
That's the thing. Once Ernest explains the Emerson knife concept, one digs it or they don't. It makes total sense to me.

That is great. I hope you told him to send me a custom. No, I could tell the guy seemed pretty genuine from some of the videos I had seen. I would like to meet him too though.

By the way, this is newknif. I had to make another account.

Do tell. ^
Hi Al.

Really, it's all in a thread in the tech support forum called Video and another problem. I'm no Al for sure. I go by the name Bob or Robert if I'm being formal and stuff. Here it's now newerknife. Defender of freedom and hater of all things we may find to be bad.

ok, newknife. Thanks.
I was referring to A.P.F. as Al. Al is his name.
Any new Emersons in mind?

I have a lot of new Emersons in mind but I don't have the funds in my wallet. I'll see what I can do this month though.

I hear what you are say, I want a Serrated Lefty Commander, but have some medical things to deal with first, than I know I will be able to enjoy my new knives.

@ Rolf - Hi my friend!

@ newerknife - This is the electrical age, charge it! (JK) Be sure to show us your treat at the end of the month. I just may indulge in an El Bandito myself.

@ Pincher - Believe me, I hear ya about the medical things. Take care of yourself and the rest will follow. Be well!
