Just whining. I have my oldest son taking my BATAC to the sandbox, and am truly pleased it is accompanying him. I miss it already though. One of my very favorites. So won't you help a piglet out and post your favorite shots of the BATAC? Thanks!:thumbup:

Here is mine pictured with a few other blades and I'm pretty sure the second pic is one too. I've accumulated a lot of blades but I am kind of fuzzy on the names..

I fully understand you mymindisamob - Batac was my hiking knife for a long time. To tell the truth I can't understand why I let it go. I guess I was blinded by tank buster offer and needed cash...
But someday I'll get a batac back, because it's a great knife. Here are some pics of an old friend of mine that I still have:

If I remember correctly my favorite pic was actually one of yours. I think it was your BATAC and an arrowhead. I couldn't find it.
 
Sorry to hear that you're missing your (son's...because ya KNOW he's gonna keep that bad boy!!! ;)) BATAC, Mike. But, good on ya for giving (like I said...it's his now! ;);)) him a right proper knife to accompany him in the 'box. Please offer him my sincere and humble thanks for his service to our great Nation for me, and I will keep positive thoughts headed his way until he comes back home safe and whole. :)

Well, I just got the news that the BATAC will not be deployed at this time, but is on standby. A temporary, two-fold blessing. I hope to blood it this hunting season, and think my son may see something he prefers. Prayers are still appreciated. Their are worse places they could be going.
 
Glad to hear the BA deployment was delayed!!!
I didn't get to see mine yet but should next week??? :confused:
