Your words are more on the money that a lot of ppl will know.

VG was one of the best there was and i think a lot of us miss him more than we will say.

He was a friend and bro to a lot of us here i shared many good times with him. My wife and i still miss him very much he touched a lot of live in many ways here on bladeforums and he will be remembered
as one of the good ones.

I met him at Blade West one year. I thought I recognized him, but I didn't want to ask the wrong guy, "Are you Vampire Gerbil?" So I said, "You look familiar, have I seen you online? " He stuck out his hand, "Vampire Gerbil " (with a New Jersey accent, not a Transylvanian one )
I miss him too. W &C isn't the same at all.

A character-and-a-half. And a really nice guy if you met him in person. Such a tragic loss for our community.

I dug up his old website, for those who're interested. Might bring back some memories for some of you.

EDIT: This was in W&C when I first posted it. Now that it's not, I should probably put a warning out there that the above links are NSFW.

I got to meet him in Atlanta once, and spoke to him a few times, the last just a few weeks before he left us. Dave was a special kind of guy.

Universally liked, and thoroughly entertaining.

Long live the memory of the world's BEST undead rodent.

VG was a pretty nice guy and yeah his leatherman micro self defense page was great. (I tried meeting him in LV during world finals, and just couldn't due to scheduling conflicts.)

(way back when I was a different screen name)

VG was kind enough to give me the benefit of his knowledge when I was new here,
I would like to remember (Gad Blilius) SP. Another great member lost to a motorcycle accident.

VG was nothing less than our most colorful and entertaining forum member. No one comes close to VGs creative, hilarious and insane antics. He was a hell of a nice guy, even if he did occassionally post scary pictures of himself in women's clothing. He is still missed.

You know what, I feel like I'm one of the guys you are talking about! I was going to make a thread about he guy but found this one, so I'll just add my thoughts here. I read an old thread recently where vg was writing diary entries about mistaking Vicks vapor rub for KY jelly. Anybody remember that one?! Sweet baby Jesus, I laughed so hard I thought I was going to hyperventilate. Nah, I never knew the guy, but I know we would have been friends. Anybody who can bring that big of a smile and that much laughter to my life has to be a friend!

Was flipping channels on the TV & something jumped out at me screaming VG...funny how unrelated things brings back old memories...

Yup, sometimes our world gets ripped off, and we lose somebody like VG.

BFC Chat was one of the highlights of my evening, with VG, PhilL, Pff, Jeremy Reynolds... dang Gerbil would have me roaring with laughter and my wife shaking her head.

VampireGerbil.com still has an old quote of mine on the front page... that takes me back.
