You used to be able to come on here and get hints of new models.

Now I gotta see 'Coming Soon' screens for the new ZT0770 and ZT0801.

I'm very interested in seeing what this Rexford flipper looks like.

Maybe Injection is to Cryo as ZT0801 is to ZT0560????
 
Most of the decent people here do miss him but he had a hard time of it here so we all suffer for it. Nothing to be done about it but at least there are some good people here who share what they are allowed to.

After watching the craziness of the forum Skyline, I wouldn't blame anyone from Kershaw never wanting to do anything nice for us again. Way too many people showing their ass.

Just all the backbiting like:

"Why aren;t these done yet?'

'Why isn't it full flat grind?'

'Cancel my order because it's not FFG'

'How come other people got their knives and I haven't yet?'

Just go through and read the thread, it's all there...
 
Nah, your summary is enough for me. I don't know what it is about Kershaw but a lot of fans seem to whine a lot more than about other brands. I mean little things like the feel of the detent or whatever.
 
I don't agree, people are just harder to please these days, too much self righteousness and not enough Grace. My opinion.
 
So you're seeing the same pettiness across all brands? The only whinier fan base are for Chris Reeves knives.

I get that these ZT/Kershaw knives can be expensive but a lot of the complaints are so inane.

You should see what happens when I mention that I wish my Umnumzaan's blade was just a bit harder so it would hold its edge longer.... You'd think I broke into their house, kicked their wife and raped their dog.
 
Granted that any product with a passionate fan base will draw "OCD" types with unrealistic expectations. But I also saw how Thomas berated people who expressed legitimate concerns and always thought the brand and this forum would be better off without Thomas. Personally I find the forum more enjoyable now.

Indeed. People complained Detent is to strong, Detent is to soft...my knife won't open right (even though its because of the way they're holding it), I can't open my 0560 with the studs (they weren't meant to be used as thumbstubs in the 1st place as the knife is a flipper)...Wheres the 0777, wheres the Cryo II, Wheres the Blue Skyline I was promised but now the blade grind is better and I don't want it, How come me dropping my knife and breaking the tip isn't under warranty, How come I didn't maintain my knife and it got all rusted and you won't give me a new one, when do I get something for nothing.... Yeah I Don't Blame him for Stepping out... After all he's the Director of Sales & Marketing...not the Director of answers all these complaints and still get mistreated and ridiculed. I miss him. He was a Great Guy and helped out alot of people.
 
It was nice have Thomas around of course, and this sub isn't as good with out him. But its still a great resource and full of a lot of cool people.

There was a lot of crying and I think people came here too cry about things. Now when the whiny "b1tch3$" show up we all tell them to shut up b/c most of us are tired of hearing the same silly things over and over again. But sometimes they can offer some entertainment. "I pocked cardboard any my knife tip broke off" who cant laugh at that?
 
Thomas explained his reasons when he left - he's been extremely busy. No need to speculate further.
