I just received my first PM2 after years of buying Spyderco knives. I was interested in other models and figured I would get a PM2 at some point in time. I am now the very happy owner of a Burple w/S110v.

Something has me puzzled though, do all PM2's come this sharp from Golden? This blade is the sharpest Spydie from the factory I have ever received, bar none. I own a Manix in 110v and it was no where near what this PM2 is with regards to sharpness.

Usually, I have to put my own edge on a new knife but not this one, it is superb. I don't know if it was done by robot or a skilled hand but whomever or whatever did it, hats off.

YUUUPP!! My experience exactly except mine was camo satin PM2, AND now you are on your way to Spyderco PM2 sprint mania!! Watch your wallet my friend, take care .

i got my PM2/blurple about two months ago and noticed it was about the sharpest and smoothest PM2 i have ever owned, probably has something to do with the S110V steel!and the robot that sharpened it!as i heard that spyderco was moving over to robotic sharpening not to long ago!i also have a 2013 forum native 5/G10/S110V that came killer sharp, really is a magic steel though, nice to see another proud owner of this new PM2,bravo!

I love the PM2, I feel kind of dumb to have waited soon long to pick one up.

I think you'll find yourself feeling that way many times throughout your lifetime. :D "Aha!"

I have a regular S30v model, and it wasn't nearly as sharp as my Delica was from the factory.

They are sharpened by hand and can vary from knife to knife but I have gotten lots of Spydercos that were very sharp out of the box.

Just received my Paramilitary S110V version (my fourth Paramilitary model).

I agree, the S110V version is by far the sharpest from the factory. So far, it is my favorite version.

The spydercos I have all came razor sharp, this attention to detail is what makes me Spyderco all the time.

I'm not sure this is still valid, at least for Golden-manufactured knives... It my understanding that they have recently implemented robotic sharpening on some, if not all, Golden models...

Maybe Sal will chime in and give us some info..
