I missed the Military I had more than any other knife I have traded away...

But I have one coming back! I made a trade for a plain black g10 and satin military and I am excited to have one again. I am not sure if it will be my EDC but it will make my rotation for sure. Between my Sebenza 25 and ZT 0550 with custom Koa wood scale, I am not sure if it will get a TON of pocket time but it will get some. I had the idea that I would have a fixed blade for camping chores. Lately I realized that most of the time my camping doesn't require a fixed blade. I am not processing wood when I go camping, I am bringing in wood. Generally just car camping stuff. Therefore, I thought I need a knife for food prep around a camp site more than anything. I don't want to bring my 0550 (due to the koa scale) or my Sebenza 25, because it would suck to lose that camping. So, I traded away my fixed blade and got a military with a little cash coming my way! I can't think of a better knife for food prep than a Spyderco Military. I just wanted to share my excitement with the Spyderco faithful, you all know how good that Military is:)

I hear ya! I have bought and sold a Ti Millie 3 times. I think I have learned my lesson this time.

I'm with ya. If I could only keep one Spyderco it would be a Military.
I'll always have several Spyderco's, but the Military is my favorite.

good choice. my camping knife is my military. Of course, so is my EDC, and dress up knife, and sit around in sweatpants knife, etc... best food prep folder I have as well as wood prep, utility, etc...

Other than some sentimental value, I could pretty much get rid of every other knife and be fine.

Nice to hear good things about this knife. I have one coming, but I going to try something different. I'm getting a left-handed military. I'm gonna carry it in my front right pocket so I don't run my hand into the gimping when I reach into my pocket. Also, I like it better when the pocket clip is on the opposite side of my palm when I grip the knife. I'm right-handed by the way. Anybody ever try this?

To me, the Spyderco I miss trading/selling the most is the Gayle Bradley. I had three at one point. Had to do it out of necessity because of my knife spending habits. I need to pick up another when money allows (upcoming releases making things difficult though).

There's a sprint Millie coming up very soon. Get it, problem solved!

I had 2 of those at one time. It is always the 2nd in line for knives that I want to get next/again. :) I have a lot of respect for the Gayle Bradley. I just feel that niche is taken up with my other knives.

I need to find another serrated Military.
That thing was awesome.
Discontinued status should lead to...Sprint Run.

New handle materials and colours.
Fancy blade steel.
Just bring it back, please. :)

Yea I agree.. So far my Military is my favorite.. Like the size, scales fit my hand perfect.. I hope they make a Military 2 with a bigger lanyard hole.. Like a Para 2 but the size of the military

Out of the numerous folders I own, including 8 ZT's and 6 Spyderco's, the Military is my favorite. Large blade, light weight, great grip, low pocket profile make it the best EDC large folder in my rotation.

I've been meaning to pick up a millie for some time, but there are always a couple things that make me go for a different knife time and time again. The biggest issue I have with it is the pocket clip, I strongly prefer tip up carry, and I also feel the current clip looks a bit dated. Trivial? Yes. Nitpicking? Absolutely. But thus far it's been enough to make me choose something else. Additionally I feel that in general, the millie is just flat out too big for my uses with regards to edc. However, in truth, I absolutely love the millie, I have handled many and believe it is likely one of the best outdoors utility knife designs ever, and have been incredibly tempted many times to pick one up just for the few times a year that I'd actually get to put it to good use. For now, I am (like everyone else) not-so-patiently waiting the military 2, hopefully with the option for tip up and tweaks to bring it up to speed with the para 2.

The "millie" is definitely my favorite Spyderco and I own a lot!

In fact today I just received one of my old grails from a trade - the elusive Orange G10 Military.

Now he has joined his cousins, the Titanium and Digicam and his little brother, the Orange Paramilitary 2.
